Brooke Smith Fired From Grey's Anatomy For Playing A Lesbian Character
Brooke Smith, who plays the newly out of the closet Dr. Erica Hahn on ABC's hit show Grey's Anatomy, has recently been fired due to the network not approving of the direction of the relationship that Smith's character and Sarah Ramirez's character, Dr. Callie Torres, was going.
Ramirez is an "incredible" actress and the goal is "to play up her magic," Rhimes said. "Unfortunately, we did not find that the magic and chemistry with Brooke's character would sustain in the long run." Smith's last appearance on the show with be in tomorrow's episode.

I honestly don't think that Smith should have lost her job because writer Shonda Rhimes took things apparently a little too far for the network. Although I was not to fond of Smith's character, because she was a cold-hearted bitch, within these past couple episodes we finally got to see that she has a heart. Now they are giving her the ax.
