It’s Turtle’s birthday, and although everyone is there to help him celebrate, Turtle isn’t in a happy birthday mood. His mother calls him and tells him that he isn’t doing anything with his life after she sees a picture of Turtle in a magazine with his actress girlfriend Jamie Lynn Sigler. Vince tries to cheer Turtle up by taking him to the Ferrari racetrack to do a bit of Ferrari racing. After the race, Vince surprises Turtle with a brand new Ferrari!
Meanwhile Eric wakes up after spending a night with his new love interest Ashley, to find his french press broken, and Ashley lounging on his couch, watching Eric’s pilot, and drinking coffee like she lives there. She then proceeds to tell E that she hates Charlie, the star of the pilot who also happens to be E’s client.
Later on, E goes to see Ari to talk about future film projects for Vince, and while he’s there he gets word that Charlie didn’t do well in the pilot tests and that he is going to be re-cast.
Meanwhile Jamie-Lynn comes over to give Turtle his present, which turns out to be ANOTHER car — a brand new Porsche. This depresses Turtle even more because he feels like he wants to be the one to buy his own car, he doesn’t want his girlfriend and his friends to have to take care of him. Turtle then goes to Ari for advice, saying that he has an idea for a way to have his own career, and Ari harshly, but realistically, tells him to come back once he has a real business plan.
E returns home, distraught over the network’s decision to recast Charlie, and much to his surprise Ashley is still in her underwear, lounging around his house. She then seduces E with a little “afternoon delight” after which she walks him through the reasons why Charlie isn’t likable in the pilot. E then calls Ari, asking for advice on how to keep Charlie in the pilot. Ari of course tells him to go in there, make a huge scene, and if that doesn’t work, pull the race card. E thinks this is ridiculous, but next thing you know he’s marching in the office like a BOSS, and telling the exec that Charlie is amazing, that he can’t believe she would dare recast him, and when that doesn’t work, he says “Well, maybe you’re a RACIST!” Cut to E driving home, telling Ari that he actually followed his advice, and laughing about it although he couldn’t save Charlie’s job.
Everyone later meets up for Turtle’s birthday dinner, at which Turtle announces that he is going back to school to learn how to run a business. E tells Vince that he can’t be a producer on the pilot anymore because he doesn’t feel right about it, and he also says that he actually thinks he really likes Ashley, despite hating her earlier that morning. But everything is okay because it’s Turtle’s birthday and life for the boys is good!
