Hell's Kitchen:Season Four

Posted on April 2, 2008 - 12:02am by loretta World class Chef Gordon Ramsay kicked off the fourth season of  Hell's Kitchen in style last night.  That's if you consider Ramsay disguised as a hippie stylish.  Ramsay disguised himself as a contestant  to get a first hand look at this seasons Chefs.  Ramsay sat quietly and listened as the other contestants got to know each other.  The two contestants that stood out were the over confident Craig, a 30 year old Sous Chef from Coram , NY who claimed that he was going to win and Bobby the 37 year old Executive Chef from Niagra Falls, NY who described himself as, "the black Gordon Ramsay."  The Chefs of Hell's Kitchen were shocked when Ramsay took off his disguise and revealed himself to them.  Ramsay immediately got Hell's Kitchen started and gave the Chefs 45 minutes to prepare their signature dishes.   Ramsay was less than impressed with what this season Chefs had to offer. The worst dish of the night  was a venison tartar with scallops, caviar , and white chocolate presented by Chef Matt.  Matt the 35 year old Sous Chef from Pinehill, NJ was confident that he was what Chef Ramsay was looking for. However, his confidence did not last to long. Once Ramsay finished vomiting from Matts dish he declared that, "that is the worst dish in the history of Hell's Kitchen."The Chefs were then separated into two teams and had to chose captains for each team. Vanessa a 31 year old Line Chef from Bozeman, MT was chosen for the women and Bobby ( a.k.a "the black Gordon Ramsay") was chosen for the men. Both captains failed miserably and not one entree was served. Ultimately it was the over confident men chosen as the worst team and Dominic the stay at home dad from Catawba, SC was the first Chef to be sent home.
