Jay Leno Upsets Gay Community

Posted on April 1, 2008 - 6:58am by loretta Jay Leno's reputation has taken a beating due to some controversial comments he made during last week's interview with Ryan Phillippe. The gay community was outraged by Leno's lack of respect for gays. Jay Leno asked Phillippe, "Can you give me, like- say that camera is your gay lover..." and "Can you give me your gayest look?" Ryan Phillippe replied, "Wow. That is so something I don't want to do."



Leno issued an apology on Tuesday stating, "In talking about Ryan's first role, I realize that what I said came out wrong. I certainly didn't mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say and I apologize." Ryan on the other hand was applaudrd by GLAAD President, Neil G. Giuliano, for not taking part in Leno's humor.
