Jessica Simpson Searches for 'The Price of Beauty'
Jessica Simpson is starring in VH1's new reality show 'The Price of Beauty'. Not sure who thought of this brilliant idea but they obviously forgot MTV's Newlyweds and how that ended up. In her new show, she will be traveling all over the world "to meet women, study local fashions, dietary fads and beauty regimes," according to the press release. Her goal is to look for the universal concept of true beauty.
Since the media has scrutinized her for her fluctuating weight, I guess VH1 felt like Jessica Simpson would be the right person for the job. But in this industry, what celebrity isn't scrutinized for the least bit of cellulite? Maintaining a good figure and young looks is one of the assets to working in Hollywood. Maybe we'll all benefit a little from learning about other cultures. Or this will prove to be as stupid as it sounds.
The series is set to premiere in 2010, so plenty of time to get acquainted with your take on beauty. What will reality tv come up with next?
