Jon and Kate File for Divorce!
According to People, the reality tv couple, Jon and Kate, have just filed for divorce! Surprise, surprise? After months of speculation and tense confrontations, they submitted the papers at Bucks County Courthouse in Reading, Pennsylvania. At the start of the 5th season of TLC's Jon and Kate Plus 8, Jon and Kate announced that their relationship was on shaky ground and they weren't sure what path their relationship would go down. Now we know it's a dead end. Tonight's highly anticipated statement has been foiled and fans can and will tune in to hear their decision from the couple themselves.
What happened to putting the kids first? Jon and Kate have always ensured the public that the interests of their kids would be put before their own interests, but obviously they have proven otherwise. Although it's difficult to be in the public's eye, the Gosselins should still remember that they are primarily a family and secondarily a reality tv persona. Unlike other kids who have grown up in the spotlight, I hope the twins and sextuplets can overcome their families hardships.
