Katherine Heigl To Return To 'Grey's Anatomy' T.R. Knight Still To Depart
Earlier this week it was reported that T.R. Knight would not be returning to Grey's Anatomy but instead pursuing Broadway.T.R released a statement about his departure from Grey’s stating that it was definitely not an easy decision for him.
His statement reads: "Leaving Grey's Anatomy was not an easy decision for me to make. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to play this character and will miss my fellow cast and crew very much. I continue to wish them the very best, and wholeheartedly thank all of the fans who have supported me and the show with such passion and enthusiasm."
Series creator Shonda Rhimes also released her own very political statement.
“I think I speak for the entire Grey’s Anatomy family when I say we wish T.R. Knight the best in his future endeavors. He is an incredibly talented actor and a person whose strength of character is admired by all of us.”
Katherine Heigl who was said to have left Grey's before Knight is now reportedly returning for at least another season.
"Katie will still be on Grey's next season," a source told Us Weekly.

Both characters fates left you nail biting during the final seconds of the show. Knight’s character, George O’Malley, was hit by a bus, while Heigl, Izzie Stevens, went under a huge brain surgery to fight off her cancer. At the end of the show, both were unconscious and everyone was left waiting to see what would happen.
