Man Sues ABC/Touchstone for Stealing 'Lost'

lost

Producer Anthony Spinner is suing ABC and Touchstone for ripping off their hit show Lost from a TV pilot script he was paid $30,000 to write back in 1977.

He claims he pitched the show in 1977 and again in 1991 and 1994 but was turned down by ABC each time, but that they've now created an exact replica of his show.

In his lawsuit, Spinner provides a list of similarities between the two shows, including plot points and character traits.

Really, guy? The show's been on for almost five years now! Did it take you this long to note the similarities?  And, I don't know, the similarities aren't that significant.  I think this guy is stretching the truth to get a bit of money.

i don't understand why the guy is suing now after the show has been on for five years. doesn't make since. gilligan's island had sort of the same concept, did this guy ripe his ideas from that show's writers?
