Russell Brand to Host MTV VMAs
This morning, Ryan Seacrest announced on his radio show that Russell Brand will host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards! Thanks to his return to the VMAs, the award ceremony will take over NYC, including iconic locations such as Radio City Music Hall.
This year, he will be sharing the stage with Muse, and Taylor Swift. He's very excited for the New York spectacular and has plans in the making. We're excited to see what he'll come up with!
During last year's award show, he sparked some talk when he made fun of the Jonas brothers for wearing purity rings...The comedian swears that "You have my word as an Englishman, there will be no controversy this year." I'm not too convinced considering he's joked "I think I'll have live sex with barnyard animals on stage." He goes on to say that "I will be humble and graceful as I try to hold the whole thing together." There's always something that goes down at the VMAs...
