This is ridiculous. We all knew that the AI judges were negotiating their contracts, but seriously. Does Simon Cowell deserve a 400% raise from his $36 million he made last season?

New reports say that’s what Cowell may pocket thanks to new contract ‘Idol’ negotiations. According to a report in The Guardian (via the New York Post), Cowell has reportedly been offered between $100 million and $144 million per year to stay on as an ‘Idol’ judge. His current contract is set to expire in May.

In my opinion I don’t think anyone deserves that kind of money, especially not now during our country’s economic crisis. Why are celeb’s so money hungry? And why are people willing to pay them so much?

I love Simon he is by far my favorite and the most important judge on American Idol, but that man does not need that much money.
