Tension is building on the set of Gossip Girl as Taylor Momsen and Leighton Meester take their on screen rivalry off screen.

HollywoodLife.com is reporting that a source told them,

Taylor is not happy that Gossip Girl has been playing Leighton’s music on the show, and they have never asked to play any of her songs.  It’s creating a lot of tension on set.

Two of Leighton’s songs, Good Girls Go Bad and Somebody To Love, have been played on the show this season and her video for Somebody To Love premiered on Gossip Girl. Not one of Taylor’s songs has ever been used.

As for why Leighton’s music is being used and not Taylor’s, a rep for CW told HollywoodLife.com, “The show will support Taylor and her music when the time is right, but her music is not ready yet.”
