Wishes Do Come True & Young Hollywoodies Help

Posted on 01 October 2008 by Syndeee

Young Hollywoodies were out in force for charities last month.  We ran into the youth of Hollywood supporting charity events in Hollywood, Orange County, and San Diego… they were busy, busy bees!

We first met the G-Girlz in San Diego, helping wishes come true for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Rhinestone Productions put together the event that allowed young Make-A-Wish girls to become models for the night.

All the girls looked gorgeous as they came down the red carpet and strutted their stuff on the catwalk.  They all got to hang out with lots of Nickelodeon and Disney stars, too!  At the end of the fashion show, Sterling Beaumont of Lost, came down the catwalk wearing a signature G-Girlz tutu.

Matt Underwood of Zoey 101 hosted the event and his co-star, Erin Sanders, was there lending her support as well.

We also had the honor of meeting Lil’ Niqo, a very young and talented Hip Hop artist.  He was sportin’ Sponge Bob Square Pants bling around his neck and a smile on his face that lit up the red carpet.  If you haven’t heard this youngin’s music, you’ve gotta check out his MySpace page immediately!  Not only is he adorable, but his music is REALLY good.  There’s a lot behind that cute lil’ grin.  While we didn’t get to see Lil’ Niqo perform, we did get to see Small Change live on stage.  They were all wearing Toxic Clothing, so they looked amazing, but guess what?  They sounded amazing, too.  Never discount the huge talent of young musicians…

14-year-old singer Austin Anderson, who has a couple of hits currently playing on Radio Disney, was in the house for the whole evening.

Another young and talented vocalist, Daechelle, performed at the event.  Check out her MySpace page and listen to her Bratz song, “Fearless.”

All these kids and more we’re signing autographs, socializing and mingling with everyone in attendance, and doing their best to really make wishes come true for a few special girls.  These kids are so genuine; it was refreshing to be in their presence.

After San Diego, we ran into some more young artists in Orange County, supporting the Mentors for Youth and The Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim programs.  Again, the G-Girlz were in the house, looking adorable in their colorful tutus.  They even got the event staff to give the tutus a try!

Super talented Monet performed at this event, looking gorgeous in a Jazmin Whitley original (which she also modeled for us all on the cat walk earlier in the evening).  Also modeling and signing, was the 4 girl pop sensation, Ajuku Girls–a newly formed group of talented young girls.

Later in the month, we ran into the multi-talented and entertaining Austin Anderson yet again.  This time he was out supporting the Rock-the-Vote movement.  And just days before this event, he performed at the Kickin’ Cancer Walk/Run in Brentwood.

Seriously, when do these young ones find time for rest and relaxation!?!  Eh, their young… they have limitless energy… and it’s great to see the young generation of Hollywood keeping good causes so close to their hearts and sending a good message to their young fans.
