Last night was the second episode of the new season of the Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that the women of OC are BROKE and from the looks of it next season will be titled the Poor Housewives of Orange County.

It appears that the economy is finally taking its toll on the upper class in Orange County and all the Housewives, except Vicki are feeling it.  Tamara is forced to sell her house, Gretchen had a yard sell to try and get a little extra cash, although I think that was all for show, and Jeana needs to sell a home for $12 million to keep from selling her own home.  As the other wives struggle to deal with the loss of income, Vicki continues to work 15 hour days raking in the dough.

I love how they hate on Vicki when she’s the only one willing to work for what she has.  It makes me laugh because I remember last season Jeana seemed untouched by the economy and this season she’s desperate.  I also find it funny that Jon and Kate make $70,000 and episode from their reality TV show and live the high life because they are on TV and these families are doing it for free I guess.  I always thought they were paid to be on TV.  Guess not.

Anyways it will be fun to watch how bad these women let their finances get before the enter the working class.  What do you think?
