Julia Roberts Grills David Letterman About Being Married
The last time Julia Roberts appeared on David Letterman he was a single man, so on last nights interview she was interested to hear about Dave's recent March nuptials.
When Julia comes out she sits down on the interviewing chair never looking at Dave.
She than says, "I don't know if I can look you in the eye anymore . Last time I saw you, you were single and then I, like, hypnotized you in my white suit or something and you went off and married Regina." Dave married the love of his life Regina, a couple days after Julia's interview.
Julia really intersted in Dave's new married life decided that she was going to be the one to ask the questions last night.
She started by asking if Regina took his name.
Dave answered "yes."
"So, she's Mrs. Letterman?"
Letterman responded, "No, she's Dave."
"You are so much funnier than other people who talk at this time of the evening," she mused.
Roberts asked Letterman if there was any video of the ceremony. Letterman told her just photographs. That it "was me, it was my son, it was Regina and the justice of the peace, and that was it."
"Ah, sweet," Julia responded.
"I mean, it's legal, that's the most important thing, right?" he asked.
"That's right. You're bound for eternity," to which Dave responded, "That's right, and never been more deeply in love," which elicited cheers from the audience.
