Kelly Clarkson Performs for the Pope
On Saturday, April 19th, Kelly Clarkson performed a beautiful rendition of Schubert's "Ave Maria" for Pope Benedict XVI at Saint Joseph Seminary in New York. More than 25,000 young people and seminarians were in attendance at the rally in Yonkers.
"I was so excited to be asked to sing for the Pope," Clarkson said. "It's always been a dream of mine to perform 'Ave Maria.' To have that dream come true on such a special occasion is truly a blessing."
Simon Powell would have been very proud of his first born American Idol.
