Madonna Disrespects the Pope
Madonna dedicates her classic 'Like a Virgin' to Pope Benedict XVI while performing her Sticky and Sweet Tour in Rome. Sounds appropriate. You know the old saying, "When in Rome!"
Her reasoning? Because he loves her. Oh, Madonna! Everyone loves you!
She told the crowd: "I dedicate this song to the Pope because I'm a child of God. All of you are also children of God."

She sounds pretty good a cappella. I thought it was harmless enough, but I guess the Roman media is all over this saying the dedication to the pontiff was "a surprising provocation." Also, the Catholic community says that the remark was disrespectful.
