New Music Thursday: Minus the Bear
Minus the Bear is an indie rock band from Seattle that has been around for a while and has a pretty loyal following, but they haven't exactly hit mainstream music yet.
If I had to describe them I'd say they're a combination of Mat Kearney, MGMT, and Kings of Leon. The sound is kind of like Dave Matthews in that you can put it on and have it play in the background of almost any situation, but melodically each song is pretty catchy and original with a soft, slow, electronic feel to it.
