Paris Hilton MTV Documentary: Paris Not France

Paris Hilton's documentary, Paris, Not France, will premiere on MTV this summer. The controversial film was first viewed at the Toronto Film Festival in 2006, and then again this passed weekend at Cannes Festival in France. Paris is a little concerned as to how people will react to the video. After three years of editing between Paris and the producers they finally think they have a worthy enough video for fans of Paris to see how the heiress got her start.
Official Plot Description: "PARIS, NOT FRANCE provides an intimate and provocative look at the world's first new media star - Paris Hilton. Shot in London, New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, the film explores the business of being Paris Hilton, and the human being that lies beneath the public persona. Adria Petty's documentary attempts to explore how the Paris phenomenon came to be, and how it defines this moment in culture. With additional commentary from the Hilton family, friends and media experts ranging from Donald Trump, Camille Paglia, Jeff Vespa of WireImage, Richard Johnson of Page Six and more, the film poses the ultimate questions - What is so fascinating about Paris Hilton? And why are we such a celebrity obsessed culture?"

In the trailer below Paris whines about how the world sees her "as Barbie with a perfect life, a fantasy...whatever." Then she goes on to say "That's not what I wanted when I was a little girl. It's not what I planned. I always looked up to people like Princess Diana and now I can never be like that."

She also says that she didn't know what to do with her life so she did what she thought the public wanted. The poor girl is clueless. She totally is a Barbie in some since. Most of the pictures that are out there of her are those where she is at a club partying or at some event looking all dolled up. I think the kind of Barbie her fans are looking for is the one that shows that woman can be strong, smart, beautiful, popular, and be a 9-5 working girl. That is what Barbie represents, the woman who has it all, who can do it all, and can keep it all together. I think if the girl just gets a real job instead of promoting herself off of nothing than more people will respect her.
