Paula Abdul Not Sure If She Will Be Retuning To American Idol
First it's talk about Kara DioGuardi not coming back for another season of American Idol, now it's Paula Abdul.Paula went on David Letterman last night and she talked to him about how the decision to return is still up in the air. She said, "I never said [I wasn't returning]. I just said that I'm not sure. It's called, um, 'negotiating.'"
David joked that he tried that tactic once and it kinda blew up in his face. He told her, "One time, I tried that, I was coming up to the end of a contract, and I said, 'I don't know, maybe I won't come back,' and they said, 'Fine because we've got another guy ready to go.'"
Paula also made it clear that this decision has nothing to do with Kara. That they are really good friends. Paula told him, "Kara's great. I don't understand why they do this to women; they love to pit women against each other. Maybe because it's sexier, I don't know. Maybe mud wrestling, the whole thing."
I don't think Paula is going anywhere. AI would not be the same without her. And she knows that too. You gotta do what gotta do to to get what you want.
